Mr. Iker Gives The Store Away

Will wonders never cease?  And I thought for lo these many months we were dealing with uncompromising, evil, stiff-necked people who had not a decent bone in their body!  ME-A flippin' CULP-A!  Mr. Iker, in his continuing role as grand pooba of the Fort Wrath Conealonialists has now "returned to the Episcopal Church with his blessings and prayers" four, count them one, two, three and four parishes.  Here, in a magnificent gesture of incredible generosity is what he says, "
The property of Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, and St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, Southlake, has been transferred into the name of the Rectors and Wardens of those parishes, respectively. The property of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Stephenville, will be transferred upon removal of financial encumberances in the form of building loans currently in the name of the Corporation.

Let me see if I get this : I, Leo Jack Iker, renounced bishop and currently nobody of the nowhere church of the Southern Province,  am selling to you St. Christopher's and St Luke's the buildings and grounds, property that does not belong to me, just as soon as you pay me for the same.  I believe this deal is almost as good as the one Matt Kennedy offered the diocese of New York sometime ago when he offered to buy his church with the existing endowment of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.

To quote another blogger, "Holy crap on a cracker!" How can anyone pass up this  deal.  I am hopeful that the rectors, wardens and vestry members of these parishes virtually run to the banks and to the attorneys and close this deal before it gets away from everyone!

Mr. Iker, have you lost it?  Can someone like the Presiding Bishop perhaps help you find it?  Do you need someone to help you fix your driveway that clearly does not run all the way to the street?  Have you been smokin' your socks or what?  Oh O - I see that word coming round the bend!  No, wait a minute, it is the magic bird!  And what is the secret word tonight?  I think it was the same word that Admiral Halsey used during WWII.  You must remember that -- I believe the word is NUTS!

(A tip of the old tam-o-shanter to both Desert Child and Father Christian.  Sheesh, this gets better all the time. No one, but no one could make this stuff up.)

It's a pity that people like you are so full of hatred and claim to be Christian. Shame on you!

Anonymous,
How about a name? It is a shame that Leo Jack Iker could not simply go away quietly. He, albeit not alone, spewed such vulgar hatred for the Presiding Bishop and our beloved Episccopal Church. How dare you lecture me on contempt. You need to tlak with the people of San Joaquin who have suffered from this man and his cronies evil hatred. Keep in mind we are Christians not doormats and we will not "go gently into the good night". Now, don't go away mad, just go away.

For starters, his name is Jack Leo+ not Leo Jack. Like everything else that you and Katie Sherrod have written, you need to get your facts straight. Those of you who do not believe Holy Scripture and the fact that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation are the perfect followers of the Pee Bee. I wish you and yours well.

Dear Nony,

You're a scrappy one, aren't you. Of course you have no idea how Fred and I view scripture, the divinity of Christ, the Trinity or the even the real presence in the Eucharist.

I think it's time for you to stop making personal accusations without any research into Fred's personal beliefs Jack Leo Iker has made his known quite publicly, so anyone can comment in return.

Kindly drop it.

My Dear Anonymous,
The actual order of the name is of little import. The fact is that the person you speak of is no longer a bishop and with good reason. HE renounced his vows. The fact that you continue to put a + anywhere his name demonstrates you lack of acceptance of the facts. None of which changes his intentional attempt to destroy the Episcopal Church. Before you preach research, you need to practice it.
Thanks for your help.

You need to read Katie Sherrod's response to your comments on HER blog again! At least she has the facts straight.

Anon,
come back again without a name and your comments are like Jack Leo Iker - gone! I really do not give a hoot or a holler about his name. Mr. Iker is an arrogant egomanical evil person. Do your research on what he and Mr. Duncan and Mr. Schofield and Mr. Ackerman and Mr. Wantland have done to our church. Read all the blogs on the correct side of this discussion. Look, I am not sure who you are but if you do not want to discuss substance then what in heaven's name are you doing here? If you are not in favor of ALL people having access to all the Episcopal Church has to offer and opening up all our doors and allowing the sun to shine on all of us equally then you need to go be with the Argentinians where people "just disappear". You deserve each other.

OT -- Lynn, sorry for feeding the trolls. I am becoming more strident almost by the minute.

Since it appears that names are of the utmost importantance to you, mine is Abigle. I am a happily married woman and a devout Christian. I was baptised in the Episcopal church at the age of one month and it has always been my denimination of choice for over 70 years. I'm very sorry to say that the theology of the Episcopal church in which I was raised and her beliefs are now gone. It's a very sad state of affairs. I grieve for what once was a very revernt doctrine has been set aside for contemporary and revised practices. I will pray for you and yours.

Abigle,
Thank you, for your name and your prayers. I just like to know with whom I am carrying on a conversation. Each Sunday, and sometimes even on Wednesdays, we pray for the whole state of Christ's Church. I am hopeful that as we all pray, particularly the Lord's prayer, the knowledge we need to live that day is given us.
Once again I thank you and hope as time passes we might enter into honest dialog. By the way, my compatriot, Lynn, I am sure would now be more than happy to discuss issues with you as well. Our rules are simple and yes, we do allow for disagreement.

Hopefully this will happen one day. Thank you.
In His name, Abigale

Abigale,

We always step away from politics on Sundays and post a musical selection. Stop by tomorrow, if you wish. The story with the music will tell you a little about my rather traditional faith journey, which started with my baptism in an Episcopal church about 51 years ago.

You will find that Fred and I, along with our "liberal" compatriots, are people of immense faith, but called to live the gospel in a different way in certain areas.

May the love of the Father, grace of the Son, and fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you - today, and always.

And also with you!
In his holy name, Abigale
